Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am a qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive training and experience in a number of different therapeutic approaches. This experience enables me to offer a flexible and responsive approach that can be adapted to changing needs as therapy progresses. I also provide supervision, consultation and bespoke training.
I see children, young people and adults on an individual basis as well as working with couples and families. I am currently only working online via Zoom.
For me at the centre of any effective therapeutic approach is a clinician’s commitment and ability to create a safe and trusting space from where an individual can feel secure enough to explore the challenges they are facing and to find new ways of negotiating, managing and coping with such challenges.
Background and Experience
I trained as a Family Systemic Psychotherapist (Family Therapist) over 25 years ago and subsequently as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). I have additional training, experience and interest in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I have worked for many years within the NHS and I have extensive experience of working with children, young people, adults, couples and families across the whole range of life challenges. I have a particular interest and experience in working with anxiety, low mood and depression, eating disorders, work related stress, couples counselling and relationship difficulties, divorce and separation issues, parenting and step parenting challenges as well as school related issues.
Setting and Location
I am currently only working online via Zoom.
Appointments and Fees
I am able to offer appointments on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 1100 and 1830.
Initial consultation fee: £95.00
Follow up appointment fee:: individual (50 mins) £80. Couple/family (60 mins) £95
* I am able to offer some reduced fee appointments to those financially unable to meet the full cost.
